6 month stats...

Caleb had his 6 month check up today with Dr. Amy and is "just perfect" as she put it... but I already knew that!!! He is actually almost 7 months old, this was the only day they could schedule him because we were behind on his other appointments by a week or two, and there needs to be a set amount of time between immunizations... Ethan also came with and had to get 2 shots also... So it was great fun with both boys, by myself, and shots...

On Saturday Scott took the boys to Ryan & Heidi's house to hang out and play on their new "park" as Ethan would call it... They have a nice jungle gym play thing in their yard... I can't wait to sell this place and find a house with a big yard so we can have one too!!!

Today we were at Wirth Park pool for 5 hours!!! We got there before 10am to get in line in order to get chairs and we didn't leave until 3pm!!! Lauren came with us and we stayed later so that she could swim in the big pool... Ethan loved the big pool too!!! There were 9 girls and Ethan between our group!!! Poor Ethan!!! He didn't care though... He loves Barbies now!!! LOL!!! Caleb stayed with g-ma & g-pa Raap... It was nice to only have to concentrate on Ethan (and Lauren)... We are so sad that this is the last week the pool will be open... :(:(:( Hopefully we will have another nice day this week to go again!!!

We LOVE Wirth Park!!! I think we are gonna get a season pass next summer!!! The only bad thing today was that there were "floaters" in the pool!!! Actually, I think they were sinkers because the lifeguard had to get them with a net!!! The pool was evacuated and cleaned and chemicals poured in - it was closed for a while until it was "safe" to go in again!!! We were not in the pool at the time of the "accident" - thank goodness!!! But, whatever - it is a kiddie pool, so we call it the pee-pool... It is a lot of fun though - Caleb likes it also... We are going back next week, so anyone who wants to go is more than welcome to come!!! The more the merrier!!!

Today we went swimming and it was Caleb's first time really in the water... Scott tried to take him a few weeks ago, but he did not like it at all... Today he LOVED it!!! Auntie took off today "sick" to spend the day with us... We are happy that we could spend the day with her!!!

Today we went to the state fair... it was hot! hot! hot! out!!! But at least it didn't rain like it was supposed to... It was fun, but I can't wait until the boys are older so they can do more things and enjoy it more... Ethan freaked out when Scott took him on the merry-go-round... I think he was scared of the guy who was trying to strap him on the horse... it was CRAZY!!! He would not have anything to do with it after that!!! We only stayed a few hours, but that was enough for us... thinking about maybe going tomorrow with my parents and my brother and his family... not sure though... Ethan passed out towards the end - probably from heat stroke... or because it was past nap time... not sure which... hahaha!!!

Lauren, my niece, slept over last Thursday night and Ethan LOVED having her here!!! It was so nice because she kept him busy!!! They watched movies and read books... It was nice to have her here!!!

This morning the boys and I met up with some friends and their kids at Wirth Park in Brookfield... They have a "zero depth" swimming area, or baby pool, open from 10am-12:30pm and then the rest of the day it is open, along with a big pool from 1pm-?... It was a very nice pool, and park... Ethan had a blast!!!

Scott took the boys to the park today and Ethan ran around playing and made a new friend, Katherine!!! They became such good friends and she liked him so much that she picked up sand and threw it at him!!! hahaha!!! Her daddy was so embarrassed Scott said!!! After nap time, they went to G-ma and G-pa Francis's and had dinner and went swimming... Caleb tried the pool out for the first time and HATED it!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!! We are going to have another busy week around here!!!
